A facelift is much more than an aesthetic change; it can help your face reflect the vitality and confidence you still feel inside.

Facelift and mini facelift in Alicante: what you should know

Over time, the tissues of the face and neck gradually deteriorate, losing their natural harmony and expression. Reduced collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production makes the skin thinner, less elastic and less luminous.

This process creates laxity, wrinkles and sagging in the face and neck, often giving a tired or aged appearance. Sun exposure, stress, lack of sleep, smoking, pollution, weight changes, hormonal shifts and gravity can accelerate it.

What do we want to achieve?

A facelift significantly improves visible signs of ageing in the face and neck. The procedure tightens the facial muscles, removes excess skin and repositions facial and neck fat to restore firmness and freshness.

At MARLA CLINIC, Dr Laredo uses his own surgical technique, developed to provide refined, natural and long-lasting facial rejuvenation.

  • Restore firmness in the face and neck.
  • Improve sagging, wrinkles and tired expression.
  • Reposition deep tissues for a natural result.
  • Rejuvenate without altering facial identity.

Facelift or mini facelift

A facelift elevates and tightens the deep connective and muscular tissues of the face and neck. Dr Laredo’s technique uses precise vectors to mobilise and stabilise facial structures in their final position, achieving an optimal and durable rejuvenating effect.

A mini facelift follows the principles of a conventional facelift but mobilises tissues in a less invasive way. The result is more subtle, with a faster recovery, and can be suitable as a preventive treatment or to refresh a previous facelift years later.

Surgical approach

Incisions are hidden in the hairline and around the ears, or under the chin when the neck is treated, so scars are very well concealed and almost imperceptible over time.

Combined procedures

In selected cases, a facelift can be combined with facial lipofilling, eyelid surgery or rhinoplasty to optimise harmony and rejuvenation. The plan is always defined after a personalised assessment of the face and tissues.

Is a facelift a good option for me?

A facelift may be suitable for people with laxity in the face or neck whose natural expression has changed, but whose skin still maintains some elasticity. There is no ideal age; suitability depends on facial ageing, skin quality and the desire for long-lasting, natural rejuvenation.

A mini facelift may be appropriate for people in their 40s who are beginning to notice laxity, or for older patients seeking discreet rejuvenation and a faster recovery.

Can it be combined with other procedures?

Yes. In some cases it is advisable to optimise the result with facial lipofilling, eyelid surgery or rhinoplasty. It can also be combined with selected body procedures when medically appropriate.

When can I return to daily activities and work?

Many patients can return to daily life after about one week. Returning to work is usually possible after approximately three weeks, depending on the type of work and individual recovery.

When can I exercise again?

Sport and more demanding physical activity are usually resumed after around six weeks, always following the surgeon’s post-operative instructions.

How long do facelift results last?

Results are long-lasting. Some patients may need a touch-up after 7-10 years depending on the age at which the facelift was performed, tissue quality and the areas treated.

Is facelift surgery safe?

A facelift is a safe procedure when performed by an experienced plastic surgeon in a properly equipped hospital environment. As with any surgery, complications can occur, so choosing the right surgeon, following all instructions and attending follow-up visits are essential.

MARLA CLINIC performs surgery and follow-up at Hospital Vithas Alicante, with expert teams and full medical resources.

What is the price of a facelift?

The price is personalised and depends on the patient’s needs and the treatment plan. During the first consultation we define the most suitable approach and provide the final quote. Online assessment can offer an initial estimate before an in-person visit.
